Fruity Parfaits (on the right):

❄  Frozen bananas, blended in Vitamix (or other powerful blender)
❄  Blended blueberries
❄  Blended strawberries
❄  Couple of blueberries to sprinkle on top

Blend separately and layer for a gorgeous effect!

Mango and Strawberry Dressings (on the left):

❄  Blend 1 – 2 mangos (or frozen) with 3 Tbsp of coconut sugar and use as a dressing

❄  Blend frozen strawberries with the juice with 3 Tbsp of coconut sugar and use as dressing

Tastes delicious criss-crossing the two on a salad for special occasions!

❄ ❄ $10 a Day ~ Low Fat Raw Vegan ❄ ❄

❄ ❄ ❄  What I Spend  ❄ ❄ ❄

I’d rather spend money on fun travels and adventures these days, so I like to keep the food bill low!

It’s possible to do $10 – 15 per day, or $70-105 a week on 80/10/10, buying bulk, organic farmers markets, and Mexican or Asian markets.

Almost everyone I know says how expensive it is to eat a raw vegan, somewhat organic diet.

So I was on a mission… to find out if it’s possible to do it for $10 a day!

✿ ✿ ✿ ✿ ✿ ✿ ✿ ✿ ✿ ✿ ✿ ✿

✿ Total Cost for the Day = $9.99 ✿
(U.S. Chicagoland Prices, rounded up)

Calories for the Day ~ 3171
✿ Carbs ~ 91%
✿ Fat ~ 5%
✿ Protein ~ 4%

✿ Breakdown for the Day ✿

4 oranges = $1.48 (Bought from my Fair Share store at 37 cents each)
17 organic dates = $2.72 (Bought online from in bulk, 12 pounds = $4.80 per pound, including shipping!)

Luggage Returned! and the Waitress Made Me Write My OWN Order!

Yay!  We have luggage now for the rest of our trip!

We saw random roosters, beautiful waters, and found great food to eat!

I got the BEST salad, but the waitress made me write down my own order, because it was too complicated for her! 🙂

Here’s the video footage today of our touring around and enjoying the warmth!

Eating Raw Vegan During Crazy Travel Day!!!

What was supposed to be a 4 hour day of travel turned into over 12 hours!

“Go to Gate D19,”
“No we have NOOOO pilots, go back to B14,”
“This flight’s cancelled, go back to D19.”
“Wanna go to Miami? (instead of Key West – where our reservations were)

Thankfully, we had great attitudes and were still laughing through all of this!  The Gate attendants loved us and our happiness (fruitiness? joy of the Lord?) and got us out of Atlanta, where we were stuck.

They sent us to Miami, where we could rent a car and drive the rest of the way to Key West!  Without our luggage, we arrived at almost midnight.

So happy to see beds and our very own bathroom!  Ahhhhh!

Click on the picture below to see the video of the day’s food and travels.
